Mounting the Grazer |
Wooden Wall Mount: Set the Grazer against the wall where you intend to mount it. Place the mounting brackets on each side of the unit (lower than the feed through grate) and mark the position for the lag screw holes. Drill the holes. Put brackets in place and screw lag screws (not provided) into the wall. Drop the Grazer down into place. (For easy clean-up of dust build-up underneath, keep it just 3 inches off the ground.) Install Thumbscrews into tapped holes of brackets. Tighten thumbscrews to secure feeder
Pipe Corral Mount: Install first one bracket on a horizontal corral pipe rail that is approximately 12 inches from ground level. Position the round pipe bracket around the pipe with the open side facing into the corral. Attach mounting bracket with bolts, nuts and washers. Position feeder and install opposing bracket. Feeder should fit easily between brackets. Install Thumbscrews into tapped holes of brackets. Tighten thumbscrews to secure feeder.

Metal Barn Mount: Follow instructions for wooden wall mounting, except drill holes through wall and mount with carriage bolts and cap nuts. (Not provided.)

Loading The Grazer |
1) Push latches simultaneously towards center. Lock latches open behind outside pipes of grate to avoid dragging on sides of feeder when opening.
2) Open Grate
3) Push flake of hay into feeder keeping flake centered.
4) Close top and engage latches. |
Helpful Hints: Combine feed by placing one flake of alfalfa and one flake of grass hay side by side in feeder. This prevents horses from eating only the alfalfa. Both flakes will be consumed together. Loading Loose Hay: Push the Perforated plate down and push the Hay Loader Pin through the front panel to hold the plate down. Now you can use both hands to load the Grazer. Close the top Feed Through Grate and pull out the Hay Loader Pin.
