The HVF Brand - what it means to you: As a contract manufacturer, we have learned A LOT through the years and the most important thing we have learned is not to blindly trust manufactures trying to sell us a line of goods stating “quality”. We do our own research and CONTRACT only those manufactures that will supply the QUALITY we require and build goods to our specifications. It is ONLY this product that will carry the HVF Brand - exclusively, with no other manufacturer mark. This Branded Product in itself will carry a 2-year warrantee against defects, natural wear and tear, but not customer abuse or neglect.
2008 is a new beginning for Hill View Farms® LLC. Located just 8.5 miles from the farm, Hill View Farms will be manufacturing saddles and tack in their new 6,000 plus square foot building located on an 1.5 acres of land just on the west edge Springfield. MN. This new facility will provide an expanded retail store, a huge show room for the Brendup Horse trailers, a manufacturing/assembly room where saddles and tack will be made, an enormous amount of storage space for inventory along with a shipping and receivable area. A state-of-the-art fitting room for horses with stalls and flooring. An outdoor wash station for trailers and horses and riding arena. The Springfield air port is located just a mile away and Springfield has a beautiful hotel which includes an indoor swimming pool, for those who wish to fly in for personal consultations. During the riding season, feel free to join us on the trail camping, as we can provide you with a mount to suit your needs. I do make mistakes -rarely but occasionally, therefore if your invoice is emailed back to you for confirmation check it for mistakes before we ship. This is especially true if you do not use any of the forms provided and just type out your order on an email.
Shipping will be UPS unless otherwise requested. Shipping will be 5 business days - ground unless it is a drop-ship in which case it can take up to 10 days. UPS shipping map
Many of the products are made exclusively for Hill View Farms and will carry the HVF brand which can be customized for little to no charge.
Return Policy: All returns (accept trailers) must be made within 30 days of purchase and accompanied by a copy of the original receipt. Any item returned beyond 30 days will not be accepted. Any items returned in a "used" condition will not be accepted. For all custom orders canceled or returned within the time period there will be a 25% restocking fee, unless it is found to be defective or a shipping / ordering mistake made by Hill View Farms ®. Once a return is received in house a credit will be issued within 48 hours on the next business day.

FOR SADDLE ORDERS

To order a saddle you must call in so that your order can be customized for you and your horse.
Orders placed require a 25% deposit. Once the saddle is completed payment in full is required within 30 days or your deposit will be returned, less any custom charges.
The prices listed are base, and may or may not include various items such as tooling, die charges, pad, rear flank cinch, girth, seat and horn style, stirrups, extra seat padding etc. So CALL for the exact price.
Because of the manufacturing production costs, saddle prices may vary.
Trial period on saddles will be 30 days, (unless other terms are negotiated). Any saddle returned in a used condition will be assessed 25%. Any item returned beyond 30 days will not be accepted.
If for any reason during your test ride, you are not completely satisfied, we offer a MONEY BACK guarantee less shipping on the saddles ($40.00 in continental USA), with NO contracts to sign!

An interesting perspective on price: Written by John Ruskin, who lived between 1819 and 1900.
It's unwise to pay too much. But it's worse to pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money, that is all.
When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can't be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run.
And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better.
There is hardly anything in the world that someone can't make a little worse and sell a little cheaper - and people who consider price alone are this man's lawful prey.

On another issue - We have wrestled with the pricing issues for what we do. Some people seem to always keep on at us to give them a discount or special treatment and some accept our fees. We came to believe that it was not fair to the ones who didn't try to beat us down to give discounts to the ones who do. Therefore, we established some objective criteria that we use - in our case based on the complexity of the situation, which we can judge by number of accounts, and the totals size of the assets we manage.

As we've started our new saddle business we've evaluated every aspect of our business. Part of this process involved consulting with a number of current customers as well as some outside experts. We were very satisfied to learn that we were doing most things really well - that we deliver quality and value, that our service and guarantees are well above industry norms, and that our customer satisfaction ratings are very high.

Our financial consultant has advised that we establish some clear pricing practices. Some people seem to believe that the prices I quote are the starting point for negation, and from time to time I have allowed myself to get drawn into that. That can no longer be the case. We will continue to offer high quality merchandise, personalized service and guarantees at prices that are fair, competitive and firm.

It is not fair to the customers who know I need a certain profit margin to stay in business to provide discounts to those who want to play "lets make a deal," only later to find out that they could have saved a tidy sum, if they waited or pleaded a hard luck story for a savings. Please, don't even ask me to do so. However, from time to time, to reduce inventory I will mark down some items. "Sale" and closeout items will be noted on the website.

The good news is the policy for multiple purchases of saddles [for use by the same family], will be 10% on the second saddle and 15% on all subsequent saddles alone, with no combining or other discounts or promotions.

NEW POLICY FOR 2008: In our quest to help reduce global warming and the demands we place on our natural resources, we will NO LONGER be making the bulk mailings of our Catabook as we had done in the past. The thousands upon thousands of books sent out and many returned (due to change of address) places an unnecessary demand on our planet. Therefore ONLY a new items sheet with this policy will be mailed out yearly. Complementary cata-books will be sent with each order or upon request.
